This is a great shelf for the price and was just what I wanted. The description was accurate, the packaging was good,assembly wasn't a problem as my spouse had it assembled in no time. There is a weight limit per shelf that would keep one from storing lots of heavy books on it. I spent around seventy dollars with free shipping, so for that price or less I'd recommend it.

It is a nice shelf and for what you get it is priced accordingly. It arrived quickly and I had no problem putting it together on my own having it up within 30 minutes. It compliments the room nicely and I have received several comments on how much people like it. However, there are a few things that I would change if I could. First, when the top and bottom halves of the shelf are fastened together it creates a rather large seam on each upright that are very noticeable (not a huge deal but could be changed with a little machining at the factory). Secondly, there are two shelves, at least on the unit I purchased, that would not adjust to level. I tried several times to adjust them but after some inspection it was evident that the holes for the wood dowels were drilled a little off of where they should have been and this causes the shelves to have a tilt toward the front edge. Since all of the other shelves on the unit (except the bottom shelf) had a little play in them I alligned them all according to this tilt so you cannot tell they are out of level when looking at the top 4 shelves. Overall, I like this shelf better than anything I saw at stores (i.e. Target and WalMart) with comparable prices.

I ordered the shelves but didn't realize that I wouldn't like them in black. I contacted the vendor to see if they had another color, and they were very helpful. They were not only responsive, but took the time to assist me in making a selection. They talked with me on the phone and sent me e-mail pictures. They did have another color, but it just wasn't what I wanted. And the return was quick and easy. Great customer service, wish I had liked one of the colors they offered. Would definitely buy from them again.

I had been looking for leaning bookshelves for months, and most of them were priced somewhere around the $150.00 range. When I saw the Poundex shelves for a little over $40 - with good reviews, I was intrigued. I'm generally a bit skeptical of "a good price", but decided to take a chance with these and purchased two of them. They arrived at my home quickly,together, and very well protected. Best, opening the box (all the tape used) was more difficult to do than it was to put them together. I did it on my own and in less than 1 hour (would not have taken so long if I hadn't been distracted by my favorite t.v. show). These are BEAUTIFUL, sturdy, and a fantastic purchase at a good price. I would buy these again - they are good on their own..not just good for the price.

That's a very nice shelf! its easy to put it together, i did it all by myself, and its a good quality, and great design!!! hope its gonna last for a long time!
